I began working with Southern Hills in April of 2008. I am the Office Publications, Receptionist.
I am a very proud mother of one adventurous one-year-old little boy named Aiden Booth. I enjoy watching him grow and mock everything that I do. In addition, to taking care of my son, I also take care of my disabled mother named Henrietta Madrid. As I take care of my mother, I thank God every day for her. She is a miracle. Long story short… Henrietta had a Hemorrhagic Stroke on July 11, 2005. The doctors said that only one in a million survive that kind of stroke. Well I guess my mom is one in a million. On July 11, 2008, it will be 3 years of my mother’s survival battle, where the doctors only gave us 2 years for her to live. Between raising my baby boy and helping my mother throughout the day, I am also a full-time student at Kaplan University, online. I am currently working on my Bachelor of Science degree in Business.
Although I have my hands full, I am so blessed to have found such a wonderful place to work and worship. Ever since I started working for Southern Hills Christian Church, I've watched my life blossom into a great new journey. So many miraculous doors have opened for me since I
have been blessed with the opportunity to be a part of this community. I have become more focused and determined on what needs to be done in my life. Working at Southern Hills Christian Church is more than a job. It's one big family. It's always nice to feel like your work environment is a home away from home. When you enjoy the environment you’re in, you tend to want to be there more often and your productivity is better.
