Week of Compassion - Sharing Resources… Changing Lives

Through our gifts to Week of Compassion, we respond to God’s call by sharing what we have:

  • offering the hospitality of a temporary home in a refugee camp or tent city, where people fleeing war or natural disaster find shelter and the support to begin rebuilding their lives;
  • doing good with our resources to provide a clean cup of water to a thirsty young girl, and to dig wells and sanitation systems that ensure her community lives in better health;
  • sharing what we have to bring food to the hungry, and strengthening programs that teach sustainable methods of agriculture that help families lift themselves out of poverty!

Thank you for your generous gifts to Week of Compassion which offers us a way to share our resources and help change lives. We will receive this Special Offering again on Sunday, February 24.

How Much Difference Can $13.33 Make?

Thanks to your efforts, $13.33 Sunday raised over $26,374 towards debt retirement in 2007!! $13.33 Sunday is based on the calculation that everyone who has a pledge gives an additional $13.33 on the 1st Sunday of each month. This money then goes to early debt retirement on our mortgage. WOW—what a difference $13.33 can make!

Thank You

Many thanks to all for the cards, calls, visits, and prayers during my knee replacement surgery and recuperation. I am sure you all are part of the reason I did so well.

Love, Annette Duffy
